Vision for the City
If elected to the City Council, Jazzie aims to foster efficient communication and collaboration within the departments as well as the community. She will prioritize preserving all that we love about the City for future generations by continuing stormwater improvement and protecting the natural resources of the Indian River Lagoon, our beaches, and our diverse wildlife. Jazzie believes in the benefit of fostering our history of being a connected community. That means, the City meets the needs of residents in every stage of life, and working towards the goal of having the valuable working class of our community make a living that allows them to live here as well.
Budget, Economy & Transparency
Jazzie understands that our essential city services including police, fire and public works are a significant part of the budget. Moreover, she knows the vast majority of the tax base is residential. Our commercial districts have remained somewhat vacant for too long. Jazzie wants to encourage local business owners to help grow our local economy. These businesses will not only diversify goods and services available here at home, but also relieve some of the tax burden to our homeowners. It is important to maintain our essential service departments and to continue to build our reserves. Jazzie will work diligently to ensure Satellite Beach is a city where people want to work and own businesses. She believes that through transparency and accountability, we can make our City even stronger and more economically resilient.
Goals
Jazzie's goal is to preserve Satellite Beach for future generations, honoring both the built and natural environment. Her dedication to initiatives like the Starry Skies program underscores her commitment to reducing light pollution and protecting sea turtles, reflecting her broader vision for a sustainable and vibrant community. Jazzie Hennings is ready to bring her extensive experience, passion for sustainability, and collaborative spirit to the City Council, working tirelessly to make Satellite Beach a better place for all.
